I just had the displeasure of watching Glenn Beck on the O'Riley Factor, and I just want to ask, Can You Believe This Guy?
I was floored by some of the rhetoric he uses to describe the government and this country that he proclaims to love so much. He truly believes the country is heading toward fascism ( half of the company ran by government , the other have ran without government) in other words he believes and sounds welcoming of the idea of two Americans. One completely free of government. The sad part about this is you have bitter people who buy into this crazy talk and are willing to do drastic things. For example, the idea of states separating from the Union and making the rules they way they see fit with all the prejudices of the small majority rule. Sounds crazy, but there are Texans and other idiots out there that think its a wise idea.
It just seems that people are still so shocked by the election that they would be willing to separate from the Union than call Barack Obama president.

Calling All Secret Service? Where ya' At?
Ok, Bush was and is a bad president but does he really deserve shoes thrown at his head? My only question is , where was the Secret Service? If those shoes were bombs, we may be less one bad president.
All I know is they better get on the job if they want to keep Obama safe. There has already been a plot on his life that was made public and I am sure that there have been hundreds others that have not been made public.
Secret Service Get on your Job!!

Obama ; Blagojevich: Does he have an Obligation to speak out?
Ok, another corrupt politician, so what right? Wrong. What makes this story extra crispy is the fact Blogojevich is the governor of Illinois the president elects home state. Republicans smell scandal and the media have a new 'hot story' and are calling for Obama to speak out more strongly against the governor. Should he? Yeeeeaaahh probably so, since his word bobble in yesterdays press conference lead people to belive he was being careful not to let something slip or inclinate himself in this scandal of selling his senate seat.
I am an Obama supporter, but he has a tendency to dance around the questions so smoothly you hardly even notice his dancing but trust me he is. He is going to have to stop that if he wants to keep his credibility and high approval rating with the American public.
Let's face it, we've been lied to and cheated on before. It's not a nice feeling.
My advice, if you happen to be reading president-elect, is SAY SOMETHING UGLY ABOUT THE GUY!!

OMG! Its Rev. Wright. Heaven Help Us!!
Just when Obama thought it was safe to go into the water here comes Rev Wright and that scandalous Illinois Governor.
Rev. Wright spoke at his former church over the weekend and lashed out at the media who lashed out at him all these months.
Ok can somebody tell this guy to be quiet and move on, at least until inauguration. Everything he says is fueling the media and the republicans who are trying so hard to discredit Obama.
Of course Rev Wright is not the only one. Can you say Blalojevich? I can't either, but the piont is he is the governor of Illinois, Obama's home state, and he has been accused among other things, of trying to sale Obama's senate seat. He even called the president elect a mother&^*&^* for not helping him in his ventures. WHAT!!!
Republicans are loving this chaos. They believe where there is smoke there is fire and Obama's associations with characters like the governor, and Tony Rezco, the other scandal, say a lot about Obama as a bit shady.
In Rev. Wrights defense, he comes from a time in our not to distant History where if you were 'White you were right! If Black be damned. !' I recognize that there are a lot of deep unhealed wounds as is the case for many black Americans. For example, I have a friend who remembers seeing dirty dish water thrown at her fathers feet as he stood in line at the back door of a Dairy Queen waiting on a hamburger, and my own father tells tales of having soda and popcorn thrown at him in movie theaters.
It is now a different day in society, after all Obama is the next President of the United States.
Bloggers, the questions are: Are such civil rights activist like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and ministers like Rev. Wright out of touch and no longer needed?
Is Obama guilty by association?

Prop 8 failed! It's All your Fault, Mormans and Black People!
Prop 8 was a proposition on the California ballot that basically gave the green light for homosexuals to marry. Well it failed and of course it is time for the blame game.
I try to believe and tell my remote that Fix cable News, sorry Fox cable News, does not exist. I never stop on that channel. However, my two year old hid the remote under the couch cushion and when I went to sit down the channels started to change as if my tv was possessed and miraculously stopped on Fix News.
There was a guy on who said the failure of Prop 8 was soley due to Mormans, uneducated Black voters who didn't really read what it was all about, and Black religious voters who have been strongly taught against homosexuality in the church. Give me a BREAK!!
It is true the Morman church spent millions on a campaign against Prop 8 but the comments on black voters I find dangerous and offensive. First, he called blacks uneducated and basically ignorant when it comes to social issues.
I am very educated, and black. Without sounding stereotypical, I have many gay friends. I could care the least if they marry. If you love someone, for Pete's sake marry them.I'm trying to pay these bills and take care of these expensive children, I don't have the time to worry about who's marrying who and its not my business any way. I think those that make it their business like diverting attention from their own problems.
My only caution to anyone who wants to marry is 'Think About It' spouses are much more trouble than they are worth. Seriously, I am a female married to a male and I'm considering trading him in for a Chihuahua(just kidding, love ya BooBoo).
Here's the question bloggers, was the commentator right, or is this just another chance to slam religion and "blame the black man" as a distraction and not look at the real issues?

Secretary of Education? "And The Winner Is!!"
Who will be the next Secretary of Education? There is no shortage of takers. After all, the new head of education would be working for a historic presidential cabinet and being picked to work in that cabinet would be the political 'Oscar' of the year.
A few names being kicked around are Arne Duncan of Chicago, Linda Darling-Hammond, and Colin Powell. Duncan is a reformer who has elevated the Chicago school system to a whole new level from the depths of dropouts and failure to improvements and considerable academic gains. Duncan also believes in performance pay for teachers which doesn't make him to popular with the teacher's unions.
Darling-Hammond, is a traditionalist, professor at Stanford University and a huge opponent to Teach America and No Child Left Behind. But (and here's the biggie) she is leading Obama's transition team.
Then there is Colin Powell. He would be great. I'm not sure why but he seems like a smart guy. What do you think out there in blogger land?
All I know for sure is education is failing. Something must be done quickly are we are going to become a nation of dummies. No Child Left Behind has left millions of children behind the 8 ball with their futures promised in the state prison's or welfare lines. Reform needs to come swift fast and in a hurry.

$15b for Automakers? Am I suppose to care?
$15b Bailout For Automakers? Why do We care? It looks almost certain that the "Big Three" will get a portion of their begging price, a whopping $15billion. We tend to forget exactly what that looks like in light of the government throwing around billions of dollars as if they were pennies left in the washer. But here it is, $15,000,000,000.00.
What about my student loans and all the money they are wasting sending out statements and paying loan collectors to call me? I know I am not the only one. $15 billion could forgive a lot of loans, take insurmountable debt off the shoulders of the educated working slaves society calls the middle class and maybe we could beef up the economy by not being so loan burdened.
So I don't really care if Detroit gets a bailout. The audacity of them asking for taxpayers money to save them just so they can turn around and build overpriced SUV's that the majority of us can't even afford.
